Matching the Right Candidate to the Right Job

Targeted Selection and Development System

A total systems approach integrating the selection and development process

Job Benchmarking TriMetrix System

  • Talent Selection
  • Employee and Leadership Coaching
  • Employee Development
  • Succession Planning
  • Organizational Development

Have you identified the hard and soft skills needed to achieve superior performance in every job?

Each person brings their own set of unique skills, talents, and competencies to the job.  The trouble is most organizations fall short in matching the job with the individual.  The end result is poor job performance, higher turnover, and greater employee dissatisfaction.

Businesses today face a shrinking talent pool. In order to compete successfully today, businesses must produce more with less.  To do this, they must improve their talent management. They must reinvent their recruitment and hiring processes and fill positions with the best talent possible.

Obsolete hiring practices and poorly trained interviewers are not helping the situation. The reasons traditional hiring practices are not working include:

  • 90% of applicants "exaggerate" to get a job

  • Most hiring decisions are made by intuition during the first few minutes of the interview

  • Two out of three hires prove to be a bad fit within the first year on the job

  • Most interviewers are not properly trained to interview applicants

  • Excellent employees are often put into the wrong jobs, failing to utilize their strengths and potential

So what is the answer?  Businesses must hire the right people for the right job and create the best environment possible to produce maximum performance.

The TriMetrix System enables you and your business to benchmark jobs and assess the talents required for superior performance.

Here’s how the TriMetrix™ Job Plus works:

First, we will help you benchmark the job by identifying key accountabilities, the critical goals and critical business successes the job is accountable for producing. Then, we will generate a benchmark from the TriMetrix Job Report. We select a group of survey participants (up to 10 people) to take part in a short meeting. This group is called the stakeholder group.

Before the stakeholder group scores the assessment they go through a 20-30 minute briefing process with one of our associates either on-site or via a conference call. This step will allow everyone to get on the "same page" with regard to the job requirements. Each person on the stakeholder team is provided detailed instructions before the assessment process begins.

The TriMetrix Job Report uses a unique 37-factor analysis of the job's requirements and separates the job into three talent categories: rewards/culture, behavioral traits, and job attributes.

Each member of the stakeholder group scores a three part survey (called the TriMetrix™ Job Plus) via the Internet. The survey takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and participants simultaneously finish the survey immediately following the briefing session.

The TriMetrix™ benchmark yields the top 7 Attributes that the position requires, the top 3 Values and the top 3 Behaviors necessary for superior performance in the position.

Second, we establish a benchmark of what the "ideal" applicant should look like. We assess internal and external applicants using a TriMetrix Personal Talent Report. It provides a summary of a person's talent to match the identical areas outlined in the TriMetrix Job Report.

Within the framework of a company's overall selection and development processes, an individual's contributions to a job are revealed in this report as the HOW (the employee's behaviors - DISC), the WHY (their values - PIAV), and the WHAT (their attributes - The Attributes Index).

The result is you have an amazingly accurate and detailed interviewing and development tool--an unbiased assessment that reveals:

  • the behaviors people will bring to the job
  • the values that motivate them to do a job
  • whether they have the specific talents--or attributes--needed for the job
  • opportunities and areas for further development

Last, we will help you match the talent to the job! The right talent in the right job means success! The TriMetrix system enables companies to replace common biases often involved in the selection and development process with factual data based on job requirements.

The results of the benchmarking process lists which of the 23 attributes are most critical for success, in order of importance. This allows you the ability to compare applicants skills and abilities against those required by the job. See the Job Attributes Hierarchy below.

Applications for TriMetrix in your organization include a multitude of business applications, including:

  • Job Benchmarking
  • Talent Selection
  • Employee and Leadership Coaching
  • Employee Development
  • Performance Appraisals
  • Succession Planning
  • Organization Development
